photoshop actions

Want to know spice up your photos? There are tons of simple, fast, and fun ways to take a “blah” picture, and make it one you’d love to show off to everyone. Now, I realize that is why you have a photographer take your photos, cuz they know all the cool tricks. However, I’d like to inform you of a little “secret” , that really is no secret at all. It’s called an “action”. Basically this is a editing process that can be done for you within Photoshop. All you have to do is pick your photo, pick your action [download it of course] and push “play”. Then it runs the action, add the effect to your photo, and presto, you have an “edited” photo. Now, I understand Photoshop isn’t just a typical household product. I’m writing about this, because I feel the more educated you are about what can be done with photography, the happier you’ll be with your results when it comes time to get those family portraits taken. If you understand that there are SO many options out there, and you can just explain to your photographer what you are thinking, they will work with you to make sure you are satisfied. That’s why we do what we do. Or at least, that’s why I do what I do. I absolutely love the satisfaction I get in knowing I pleased my clients. In knowing they LOVE the photos I took for them. So help yourself out, by helping out your photographer. Communicate with them effectively. Help them see your vision. As well as being educated yourself. Do some research to understand the potential your photos have. That being said. Here are a few fun “actions” with before and afters to help you see what I’m talking about. Enjoy!
