This was a simple, easy, photo session. We only wanted a few photos, for the special occasion. My sister is going on a mission and we needed some photos of her before she leaves! I still can’t believe it’s the middle of December and we’re outside without coats on! It’s fine, as long as we have a White Christmas! ...

It’s crazy that there isn’t snow on the ground! I love getting out of the house, and a photography session is right up in my top reasons to get out! Brittany is a friend from my hometown, and old neighbor. We met up at the UW campus for this shoot. Working with 2 littles can be hard, but we were able to be fast, keep them busy, and luckily got some great shots while we were outside. We headed inside later, but the girls had HAD it. Darn it. It’s hard to be little! But it was great to meet up, and to be outside in December in...

This sweet little boys great-grandma wanted photographs of her great-grandson, so we arranged it. I met up with everyone at the great-grandma’s house, and we had a fabulous little session. Little “e” is about 8 months old, and such a little sweetie. They had amazing props and outfits ready to go. Window light, it’s magical. I love love how this session turned out. It was literally picture perfect....

This “winter” weather we are having {or more appropriately NOT having} has been amazing. For this photo shoot we headed up to the Lindstrom’s ranch about 20 minutes outside of Laramie. It’s beautiful out there. The Lindstrom’s are such a fun family and check out the blonde, dark & red hair?? It’s great! We had a great time riding around on 4-wheelers, walking thru the trees, splashing rocks in the stream, and just visiting. It was one of the most fun sessions I have ever done....

I love one-on-one sessions, mostly, I’m referring to seniors. High school seniors have such personality. I love their excitement for life, and what their future holds in store for them. A senior photo session is a great way to capture them in their current “prime of life”. They have so much adventure ahead. So much unknown. For parents, it’s capturing their child in some of their last moments under their roof. Mary is an amazing girl, athlete, friend and young woman. She works hard at everything she does, and is kind to...

I love fall. The colors, cooler weather, crisp air, falling leaves, it’s all just so, cozy. This session was just that. A perfect, fall photography session. I have had the chance of taking this families photos for several years now, and it’s crazy how much things change, but yet stay the same! Laramie has some beautiful spots for shooting, and I think this one might be my favorite. Especially with all the fall foliage....

I was able to photograph this couple for their 49th wedding anniversary. What a milestone. They have the most beautiful backyard, and I was also able to photograph them in their home. I think sometimes people are weary of “indoor” photography, when it’s not a studio.. but window light is the next best light, after open shade, or overcast outside. I love window light. It’s so beautiful. So, don’t be afraid of indoor photography, even in your OWN home. It can be beautiful. {especially where we live, and it seems to...

One of my favorite things, that I think is crucial for great photography, is great lighting. This session could not have had better lighting. It was perfectly overcast right up until the last minute of our session. Which made for some beautiful photos! There’s a lot of factors that play into capturing great photos, and we had them all working together perfectly! Besides, it’s hard to get a bad photo when you are this in love… oh the bliss. So excited to add another sister-in-law to the...

Oh, this session makes me giddy. I LOVE the soft, simple, clean feel it has. And there is NOTHING sweeter than a newborn baby, except maybe a sibling with their new baby!! This little miss is going to be such a GREAT big sister! I may have snuck in a few snuggles.. I can’t wait for my baby to be here! {for now, cuddling this cute little nephew satisfies my baby hunger.}...

Back in the fall, when the leaves were still changing and beautiful, I got to do a session with Tiffany and her kids. They are such a great family! Tiffany is such a great mom, and her kids are simply adorable. We had to do some improvising with this session, because the weather wasn’t super ideal for little kids. It was definitely a fall day, and the wind was making it too cold for them to enjoy being outside, especially to “sit still” for photos. We managed to get some great shots outside, and then we ventured inside to...
